Escaped Another Friday 13th<\/sup> Unscathed!<\/h3>\n

Very famous and beloved bathhouse<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Took a fun walk after work today.\u00a0 I went past the surfers on the Eisbach and got some pictures, but cleverly forgot to get video, duh!\u00a0 I\u2019ll go back for that.<\/p>\n

You have to wait your turn to surf the Eisbad.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Then I walked the length of one of Munichs\u2019 four \u201croyal streets\u201d \u2013 this one was Ludwigstrasse.\u00a0 Named for Ludwig the 1st<\/sup> it\u2019s a stately street whith many terrific buildings, the University, and Munich\u2019s most famous piece of public art:\u00a0 Jonathan Borofsky\u2019s 17 meter tall \u201cWalking Man.\u201d\u00a0 It\u2019s a stunning piece made of a steel frame with a fiberglass coating.\u00a0 As simple as its design is, it\u2019s very engaging and appealing.\u00a0 I think the reason I like it so much is that he\u2019s moving \u201cout of the frame, \u201d so to speak, one of his arms extending past the grassy area he\u2019s in so that it\u2019s reaching of the pedestrian sidewalk.\u00a0 My tourgude on Saturday justly referred to him as the Eunuch From Munich.<\/p>\n

The majestic, yet playful, Walking Man<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Borofsky is an American artist who is most famous for his \u201cHammering Man\u201d statues that have been installed in Basel, Dallas, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York, Seattle, Denver, Washington, D.C., Seoul, Frankfurt, and Lillestr\u00f8m, Norway.<\/p>\n

At the end of my walk I had some decent enchiladas at a popular Mexican cantina.<\/p>\n
