width:48px;height:48px; margin: 0; padding: 0; border: none; box-shadow: none;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rayivey.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/plugins\/social-media-feather\/synved-social\/image\/social\/regular\/96x96\/instagram.png\" \/><\/a><p> Movie Award Preview:\u00a0 Best Opening Credits<\/p>\n<p> In this era of single-card opening credits,  the art of the creative opening credits sequence is an all-but-lost art.\u00a0 Gone are the glory days of Richard Williams (<strong><em>The Pink Panther Strikes Back,  Casino Royale<\/em><\/strong>) and the great Saul Bass:\u00a0 Who can forget the bold graphics that turned into Manhattan skyscrapers at the beginning of <strong><em>North By Northwest<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>West Side Story,  <\/em><\/strong>or the sauntering cat that introduced us to <strong><em>Walk on the Wild Side<\/em><\/strong>?\u00a0 And the graffiti and street-sign credits at the <em>end<\/em> of <strong><em>West Side Story<\/em><\/strong>?\u00a0 Forget about it.\u00a0 In those movies,  the opening sequences were delicious little miniature movies unto themselves.<\/p>\n<p> \u00a0<\/p>\n<p> Happily,  there are a few filmmakers who still commission such delightful confections to open movies.\u00a0 There are three notable examples of this lost art this year:<\/p>\n<p> \u00a0<\/p>\n<p> In <strong><em>Moon<\/em><\/strong>,  the words in the sly opening titles slid in front of and behind objects in the picture,  setting up that film\u2019s themes of claustrophobia and deceit.\u00a0 Clint Mansell\u2019s haunting score added to this intriguing opening.<\/p>\n<p> \u00a0<\/p>\n<p> In <strong><em>An Education<\/em><\/strong>,  Nic Benns\u2019 snappy graphics accompanied a jazzy soundtrack,  giving us an irresistible invitation to travel back in time half a century.<\/p>\n<p> \u00a0<\/p>\n<p> And <strong><em>Up in the Air<\/em><\/strong> put us up in the air,  showing us a cornucopia of idealized birds-eye views of this great land we fly over.<\/p>\n<p> \u00a0<\/p>\n<p> I hope the creative opening sequence will continue to shine,  even if rarely.\u00a0 I would miss it if it were gone forever.<\/p>\n<p><div itemprop=\"aggregateRating\" itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"http:\/\/schema.org\/AggregateRating\">Average Rating: <span itemprop=\"ratingValue\">4.6<\/span> out of <span itemprop=\"bestRating\">5<\/span> based on <span itemprop=\"reviewCount\">261<\/span> user reviews.<\/span><\/div><\/p><p>\n<script type=\"application\/ld+json\">\n{\n  \"@context\": \"http:\/\/schema.org\/\",\n  \"@type\": \"Review\",\n\"datePublished\":\"May 26, 2026\",\n  \"itemReviewed\": {\n    \"@type\": \"Product\",\n    \"name\": \"Male Enhancement Pills\"\n  },\n  \"reviewRating\": {\n    \"@type\": \"Rating\",\n    \"ratingValue\": \"4.6\"\n  },\n\n  \"author\": {\n    \"@type\": \"Organization\",\n    \"name\": \"LegitScript\"\n  },\n  \"reviewBody\": \"Excellent quality at low price.
