Day of Stress<\/h3>\n

Bah.\u00a0 Just want this day to be over.<\/p>\n

A 36-year-old friend of mine is undergoing brain surgery today in Los Angeles to alleviate a vestibular neuroma<\/a>.\u00a0 It\u2019s making me insane that I\u2019m not there just to offer whatever help I could to his partner and brother.\u00a0 In addition, after tomorrow I won\u2019t even be able to call because of STUPID VERIZON WHO IS BEHIND THE TIMES WHEN IT COMES TO USING YOUR PHONE OUT OF THE COUNTRY. Grr.<\/p>\n

Two questions: Why? and more importantly, WHY?!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Also, it\u2019s down to the wire on my Russia visa, which I\u2019ve also been stressing about big time, because I\u2019m not scheduled to have my passport returned to me (with the Russian visa stamp) until tomorrow morning<\/em>.\u00a0 Tomorrow afternoon is, of course, when I\u2019m getting on a plane to Brussels.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve actually gotten good news regarding the passport.\u00a0 It\u2019s finished, and it\u2019s on its way to the Washington office of the client, and someone there will overnight pouch the thing to me, so it looks like we\u2019re homefree on that one.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Now I just need to hear the news that my friend is safely out of surgery.<\/p>\n

Surgery sucks, there\u2019s no way around it.\u00a0 I know of what I speak:<\/p>\n
