Just in case anyone needs reminding, the very worst actor in the world, yea the actor who makes Christopher Lloyd look subtle and honest in the throes of this thespianic efforts, is was and I assume always will be Anthony Heald.

If you mercifully can’t remember this excruciating actor off the top of your head, perhaps you’ll remember him as the vice principal on “Boston Public.”  Or as the vicious Judge Wallace Cooper on “The Practice.”

No?

Well, surely you’ll recall his most famous role as the doomed psychiatrist Dr. Fredererick Chilton in “The Silence of the Lambs.”  It was the good doctor, you may recall, which was to provide Hannibal Lector’s final meal in the film.  Ahh, if only.

I don’t know why he gets hired.  But then I don’t know why John Leguizamo gets hired, either.

  1. (I think John Leguizamo is rather funny and can be quite talented… but sometimes he’s just… there.)

At first I thought you were speaking about Anthony Head, who is an AWESOME actor. But then I realized that you meant Heald and yes, I don’t care much for him. He stuck out like a sore thumb in Silence of the Lambs.

  2. Anthony Head. He is a British actor, best known in the US for his work as Giles on Buffy. He’s back doing lots of British television (I just saw him in “Sold”, where he played a right bastard). Yay!

Cool! I’m not playing WoW anymore: I’ve been spending my time working, watching lots of stuff, and doing tons of knitting and spinning. Hee hee! I got a spinning wheel for Christmas, so it’s hard to do other stuff.

  3. A spinning wheel! ZOMG! Who knew they still made those? I want a picture of you spinning. Have you gotten the [Straw Into Gold] recipe yet? 🙂

  4. Spinning is really getting popular, to be honest! It’s like a few years ago, knitting became really huge and is still pretty big. Now, it seems that the knitters are turning towards spinning.

The selection of wheels really is quite varied. You can see some of the less-expensive wheels at woolery.com, which is where I got my wheel, an Ashford Traveller, one of the very inexpensive models out there. I’ve seen wheels go for up to 3.5k. I’m still learning.

I’ll see if I can get my partner to take a picture of me while spinning. Hee hee! Mostly, I’ve got pictures up of stuff I’ve already spun (you can see them on my flickr account, I’m user “eileene”).

I tried to play a bit of Pirates of the Burning Sea, another MMORPG, and that was fine but the learning curve is a bit of a PITA and I haven’t found a really awesome guild, so it’s hard to be enthusiastic about the grind. Plus, I shouldn’t have started out with the French, who are totally overwhelmed by the Spanish and the English and the Pirates.
